Life is Like Roller Rink Pinball Game in Space

The design for Theory of Relativity was inspired by late 80’s / early 90’s arcades and roller rinks. The characters in the show bounce around the space, almost like pinballs, as they navigate young adulthood's chaos. The low, round platforms, reminiscent both of planetary bodies and of the aforementioned pinballs, sprawl across a floor treated to create a roller skating rink carpet. Pixelated orbs of light flash and shift, mirroring the characters' mixed-up brain patterns and attempts to find mathematical reason in the absurdity of life.
